Come take a behind-the-scenes look at the biggest waste water treatment plant in the world! Operating since 1983, DC Water’s Blue Plains Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant can treat up to 370 million gallons of sewage a day and plays an instrumental role in efforts to clean up the Potomac River and the Chesapeake Bay. There are limited spots for this two-hour tour with Bill Brower, program manager of biosolids operations for DC Water.
The tour will go from 2:30 – 4:30 pm on Sunday, November 15.
