The seemingly perpetual cycle of inspiration from science to art and back again is finding a particularly illuminating celebration in Washington, D.C. for the inaugural UNESCO International Day of Light on May 16, 2018. For this anniversary of the first functioning laser, ARTECHOUSE—an innovative art space dedicated to arts and technology—is launching a special exhibit, bringing together both artists and scientists whose work specializes in using light. Members of the press are invited to speak with the attending artists and scientists at the launch of the exhibit: NAKED EYES, by the internationally acclaimed art studio NONOTAK.
Supported jointly by The Optical Society (OSA), the American Physical Society (APS), and the American Institute of Physics (AIP) through AIP’s Venture Partnership Fund, the exhibit is the first U.S. solo exhibition of NONOTAK.
