Kayak/pontoon tour of the “Ghost Fleet” at Mallows Bay

Mallows Bay Potomac, Maryland

Come visit the largest collection of shipwrecks in the Western Hemisphere by kayak or pontoon! The Chesapeake Bay Conservancy has been taking photos of shipwrecks poking out of the water in Mallows Bay, known as the "Ghost Fleet," in an effort to build a Google streetview-like digital map of the Bay. The site has been nominated for marine sanctuary status. We will be joined by a local historian.

The USNA’s Full Moon Hike is “a moderately strenuous hike to appreciate the beauty of the Arboretum at night.” Our guide will carry a night-vision adapted flashlight; otherwise, the moon will light our way. The total distance will be approximately four miles and will include some hills and uneven terrain.
