Behind-the-Scenes Preservation Tour at the Library of Congress– 3/24/17 @10am

The Library of Congress is welcoming DCSWA members for a behind-the-scenes look at the techniques and technology scientists and conservators use to preserve the collections of the nation’s oldest federal cultural institution. The tour will cover various analytical and testing methods for research and treatment, as well as the chemistry behind neutralization of acidic paper in bulk. Cameras are allowed on this two-hour tour.
